3 people found dead after shooting in Dayton house

Homicide detectives Tuesday night were investigating the shooting deaths of three people inside a house in Dayton.

The shooting was reported at 5:50 p.m. in the 2600 block of North Gettysburg Avenue across the street from the New Gettysburg Baptist Church.

Dayton police surrounded the house with yellow crime scene tape and shut down North Gettysburg Avenue to traffic in both directions. Three vans from the Montgomery County Coroner’s Office left after they were each loaded with one body on a stretcher.

Police on Tuesday night said detectives would be at the scene all night long, but that they were not going to provide any information on the killings.

Also, the names of the victims were not released Tuesday night.
